Friendly Report (CABJ - 1 JWC - 0) : Twelve Stitches for Goalkeeper Faiz Farhan

The recent win against JWC in a friendly match at Shah Alam Mini Stadium last Tuesday once again had Ahmed Khamis scoring a goal for CABJ assisted by none other than Affendi Amir.

A through ball from Affendi Amir followed by Ahmed’s loop ball passing JWC goalkeeper had CABJ leading the game with CABJ 1 – JWC - 0

As it was an early game CABJ's defence fought hard to protect the post together with countless attacks their strikers that day. Our goalkeeper Faiz Farhan endured 12 stitches after colliding with midfielder Imran Mazli during the friendly game against JWC last Tuesday. During the second half, after the substitution of goalkeeper Wan Ajmal, Faiz Farhan protected the post for 15 minutes before the incident happened. Bleeding badly, he was then rushed straight to KPJ Hospital for further treatment.

Though the incident shocked many in the field, with heavy heart the team carried on with the match.

During the last minute of the game had Affendi Amir passed the ball to Azrul Raimie followed by a sprint for a goal after realizing JWC’s goal keeper was out of his goal post. However, Azrul Raimie was already in an offside position and the goal was called by the linesman.

Bukit Jelutong Unite : CABJ vs Sime Darby (U23)

Last weekend, Sime Darby’s Training ground at Bukit Jelutong opened its gate giving way to CABJ for a friendly match against Sime Darby FC (U23).

Not discouraged by the rainy season, Gliders were seen at the field as early a 3:30pm eager to step its foot for a match that they have been waiting for the longest time.

Neighbours, friends and supporters of CABJ were seen flooding the field at Jalan Kubah with umbrellas to watch the game and to also get the feel of the field that has been a barrier from the community for nearly 1 year. BJRA’s president Mr Fhamy and Secretary Mr Razlan Isa was also seen at the field watching the game.

Proud parents of Azrul Raimie and Ruffie
CABJ stressed that they have nothing to prove from this friendly game but to gain exposure and experience playing with a well established team.

Through the drizzling rain, the game started off in a fast pace having CABJ making the first attempt of attack. Though Sime Darby scored two goals first in the first half, CABJ’s striker Zurin Wayne managed to cut through the defence and scored CABJ’s first goal. Sime Darby then scored another goal leading the game at CABJ – 1 SDFC – 4 during the first half.

Come second half, many would say CABJ’s defends and mid fielders played a more controllable role maintaining the score to 4-1 nearly throughout the whole second half. A great teamwork led to a goal as the final touch made by Ikram Al Rashid our newest addition Agus Raqib, a good run in and scored . Final score was CABJ – 2 SDFC – 5.

After the game, the night ended with dinner together with some of the SDFC players whilst watching the Manchester Vs Arsenal game at food station.

CABJ would like to thank all who came to support us on that wonderful day and though it was our first game playing in the gated field, we’d really hope to have weekly game such as this, bridging the community together through the beautiful game of football. Perhaps one day, with hot dogs, sodas and chips.
