Friendly match: Shah Alam FC 0-2 CABJ - Report



Fresh from their league debut, CABJ was determined to prove to themselves that they were able to win. Their opponent this time was from Section 17 & Section 18, Shah Alam. The game, held at Setia Alam was a challenging one.

During the first half of the game, both teams struggled to put their teams ahead but to no avail. CABJ was shown to be the better team of the two when they control the game. However, due to a lack of communication between team members, the Gliders could not convert any of their chances into goals.

The opposing team also put CABJ to the test when they tried to score but fortunately, their finishings were poor.

The second half showed a more unified team from the Gliders. Again, CABJ attacked relentlessly but they still could not break deadlock. Although dominants over the game was held by Bukit Jelutong, the opposing team put up a good fight by denying CABJ off their goal.

Luck finally shone down on the Gliders when finally things turned for the better. Ungku Nazrin Hakim's strike from the edge of the penalty box broke the deadlock, making the scoreline 1-0.

As confidence among players grew among the ranks, CABJ was now determined to increase the scoreline to 2-0. Came in from from the bench, Mohd Rahimi Abd Razak again proved his worth to the team when placed the ball into the back of the net, after receiving a searching ball from Azrul Raimie Razi.
