Tune Talk Safee Sali Community League : "Stale Like Yesterday's Nasi Lemak"

Should you be wondering if there is a mistake in the translated tweet we highlighted above by Midfielder Shamil Yusoff, you wondered wrong as we couldn’t agree more. After the defeat by MyManUTD in CABJ’s first game of the Tune Talk Safee Sali Community League, our gliders faced not another defeat but a disappointing final score from its recent match against Team Arsenal Supporters Malaysia last Saturday.

With its final score of CABJ – 1 TASM – 1, the gliders were seen rather very quiet after the game. Tweets from CABJ’s defender Billy Lee also mentioned “Not the result we wanted” explained the reason why our gliders were in a very frustrated situation after the game.

CABJ now stands in the last position together with TASM of the league's outfit having Roti Kaya.com placing first followed by MyManutd second. CABJ and TASM shares the same placing with a similar points of 0 win.

During the first half of the game, possession falls onto TASM. Even then, CABJ seemed determined to attack as Fendi Amir strives for a goal by a long shot from the centre of the field.

Our set piece takers also seemed to be making simple shootout mistakes causing a waste of goal opportunity to CABJ. During the game analysis night a day after the game, player Amin Helmy stressed out his concerns not to take set pieces for granted as it increases potential for goals.

And there it was when TASM scored its first goal from a free kick in the first half leading the game to CABJ – 0 TASM – 1.

A yellow card was then waved to Amin Helmy causing a minor foul to TASM player.
A better tempo were seen during the second half as it started with clean short passes and earned CABJ its first corner kick in the second half taken by Ameer Aizat, however his effort was saved by TASM goalkeeper

CABJ managed then to equalize the game having Ikram Al Rasyid controlling the ball from the right side of the field till the goal box and passed it over to Firdaus Samsuddin who then scored the goal for CABJ through the left edge of the goal. This is Firdaus’ second game with CABJ after months, as he is now on a study break and will be with us for three months before he flies back to the States.

During the 3rd half, defender Syed Shahril was given a yellow card forcing the team to take on a risky free kick by TASM minutes before the end of the game but was brilliantly saved by our goalkeeper, Wan Ajmal.

We hope for a better play next weekend as CABJ needs to focus, earn points soon and to keep their eyes on the prize. The Tune Talk Safee Sali Community League is CABJ's  4th league participation since its establishment last year.
