Munro League (CABJ - 1 B8 - 0) - A collective effort, Rahimi Cues an Outstanding Play

It was one of the most valuable matches for CABJ in the Munro League this year.

The smooth goal by striker Muhammad Rahimi assisted by BillyLee  now placed CABJ second place in this week’s standing giving a brighter hope for the team in a path to the Champions League.

Muhammad Rahimi, replaced Ahmed Khamis striker position in the first substitution of the games made by Manager Brian Nathan during the game against B8.



Goal Keeper Wan Ajmal collided badly during an attempt of attack by B8 but managed to get up and dust off the pain to hit the pitch.

Minutes later, CABJ player Billy Lee was raised with a yellow card which led to a corner kick for B8 however the game balls back to CABJ which the had a slight missed by Imran Mazli had CABJ in a risky state allowing B8 to an one on one opportunity with Wan Ajmal who then saved it calmly.

Realizing a potential red card that might occur, Brian Nathan boldly substituted Billy Lee with Ungku Ady followed by Ungku Nazrin for Ikram al Rashid minutes later.

Azrul Raimie faced a foul when he then also was raised with a yellow card before the referee marks the end of the first half.

Come second half, players position remains except for Imran Mazli who was replaced by Muhammad Ruffie in the mid field position. Another collision with B8 goal keeper then led to another yellow card for CABJ which was raised to Muhammad Rahimi.

As the game heats up to the last minute of the game, a foul made by B8 to Azrul Raimie was only penalized with a yellow card to B8, which then led to a free kick for CABJ taken by Azrul Raimie.

The final whistle blows, a breath of relief was seen in each of CABJ’s players during the warming down session especially to CABJ’s Manager Brian Nathan.

“I have nothing to say about today’s game. A game well played and you guys went all out” he said during the closing brief of the day.

He then announces the man of the match for this week’s game who showed dedication and full commitment and focus which are Akif Sharifudin and Muhammad Rahimi.

CABJ’s current standing placed in 2nd with only 2 point away from SA CITY as they lost the match against another Bukit Jelutong team Bola Ball FC.
