CABJ, the Munro League 2013 CHAMPIONS!

It was the one of the best Saturdays for CABJ last week as they battled in their last game during the Liga Perangsang Selangor (Munro League) that determined the Champion of Munro League. The match against TTDI FC was held at Setia alam at 3:30 pm and many of CABJ supporters were seen in orange and green showing their support.

When we asked Brian Nathan on his expectation befor the match, he was seen confident that CABJ will win
the game and claim the title of champion in the Munro League. Being the best as what our last post mentioned on Brian his predictions were right.

It was a calm start as CABJ took control of the game mostly in the first half. CABJ scored two tremendous goals both in the 1st half of the match. Both goals were scored by our Palestinian glider who is also one of our best strikers, Ahmed Khamis and  assisted by none other than Azrul Raimie through two beautiful cross both attempts met with two sharp headers by Ahmed.

During the second half CABJ maintained a clean game as they were not raised by any yellow card throughout the game. The pace of the game during the second half were faster as TTDI FC attempted for a comeback however with the help of CABJ defences and goalkeeper’s sharp instinct the ball claimed back to CABJ’s side.

CABJ sealed off the game claiming victory with the final  scoreline of CABJ 2 - TTDI FC 0. And with that, CABJ was crowned as Liga Perangsang Selangor (Munro League) 2013 Champion with only 1 point ahead of SA City.

Indeed it was a tight league but according to CABJ Striker Affendi Amir, “though it was a tough league and there were struggles in a few matches but we maintained our games and I am  proud to say that despite all that we still managed to win in our first season with Munro League. I believe that is a great start for all of us”

Now, CABJ focuses on the FA Cup as they too hope to bring another title this year.  CABJ will again meet up with SA City in the FA Cup Semifinals this coming weekend as it is also predicted to be a tensed match to watch. Details to follow soon!
