SACL: FCJm 1-0 CABJ - The Gliders Started The League with Two Red Cards

Written by #4 Mohd Imran Ahmad Mazli

The first match saw CABJ failed to collect a single point as they lost 1-0 to FCJelong Muda. The Gliders paid a price when they were down to nine men after only 15 minutes playing. The Gliders were on full throttle during the start. The pace of the game was fast and both sides match equally.

Not more then 10 minutes of first half, three FCJelong Muda players were handed yellow cards. The game continued to be on CABJ's side until the 12th minute, our very own centre back Norrizal Wazir was red carded due to spitting out of the referee's decision. Just three minutes after that, our left back Walter Lee committed a foul and was shown the second yellow card. It made it all hard for The Gliders as they were down to 9 men. The manager swapped our striker, Ahmed Barakat for Syed Mohd Shahril to strengthen the weakened defensive line and it was all defensive moments for CABJ. The players managed to held their defensive line strongly and the first half ended goalless.

Second half continued with one objective - defend. CABJ played very defensive, FCJelong Muda had their chances to score but they couldn't. Having played only with 9 men, The Gliders were exhausted by defending with a striker-less formation. FCJelong Muda got a little more luck when a cross was deflected by M Akif Sharifuddin over Alisher the goalkeeper before reaching their left back, Din to score the only goal for the match.

After a few minutes after that, an FCJm player was handed a second yellow card for a foul on Ameer Aizat. The match ended with 1-0.

Final Score: FCJm 1-0 CABJ
Man of The Match: Alisher (88)
