CABJ signs RM20k sponsor deal with POKOK

BUKIT JELUTONG -
Earlier today, Club Atletico De Bukit Jelutong (CABJ) signed a one-year partnership deal worth RM20k  with a community development company Cypress Diversified Sdn Bhd (CDSB) as the the Major Sponsor for the season 2013/20144.

The community football club, who recently claimed champion in the Perangsang Selangor League 2013 recently, will now be equipped with complete home and training kits carrying the CDSB'S SOCIETAL PROJECT name POKOK. The sponsorship will also cover the club's operation expenditure for a whole year.

POKOK, an acronym of Pembangunan Oleh Komuniti Untuk Komuniti is a platform owned by CDSB which supports any kind of community development program. It is a platform that uses a structured methodology of identifying, engaging and preparing community - to place more value in any kind of community programs being deployed. Currently POKOK is being implemented in the State of Pahang supported by Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat (KPWKM) and Multimedia Development corporation (MDeC).

Badru Bisshamsi Abdul Rahim, Executive Director at CDSB said, "We have been following CABJ since it was established in year 2011. Since the team were seen washing cars at bukit Jelutong on certain weekend to host their own activites. At first we thought it was just like any other football club that just play football. Then we realized it was different. Especially with their own CSR effort called CABJ LAHH (lend a helping hand) an initiative from CABJ for any charity works. We also acknowledge the good effort and intention of CABJ trying to bridge the whole community of Bukit Jelutong through sports such as their recent event CABJ FEST, aiming to promote sports through festivals in the community.

We believe that a club such as CABJ will help us to promote our POKOK brand throughout the whole country".

He then added "CABJ is using all the good approaches of a football club. We at CDSB could see CABJ has the potential to go far."

CABJ's Vice President Azrul Raimie mentioned that he was extremely happy that they have secured the sponsorship. "Well done to the whole CABJ family players, non player, brothers and sisters who have tiressly stood their ground and making an excellent recognition for this past few years. In line with "POKOK", this will be a stepping stone for us to get the exposure on community development. This is just the beginning. I hope there will be more private sectors and local business outlets in Bukit Jelutong who will support us"

CABJ's away kit 2013/2014 is also sponsored by Tafa Cafe.
